One UI 8 Beta Program: Full List of Eligible Samsung Galaxy Devices

Samsung is currently working on releasing the final version of the One UI 7 update to many of its devices. However, the company is already preparing for its next major software release, which is One UI 8. According to reports, Samsung might start testing the beta version of One UI 8, most likely in June 2025.

Many Samsung fans are now curious about which Galaxy phones and tablets will be able to try the One UI 8 beta version. All those users who want to know if their device is included or not, here’s a list of models that are expected to be eligible for the beta program.

Samsung is likely planning to begin the One UI 8 beta program in June 2025. Once it starts, Galaxy users can expect to receive the beta version shortly after, giving them early access to the upcoming features before the official release.

The beta program gives selected Galaxy phone users an early opportunity to try out new features and improvements before the official version is released. However, Samsung only allows a limited number of users to join the beta program, so not everyone will get a chance to participate.

So far, Samsung hasn’t officially shared any details about the features of One UI 8 or confirmed which Galaxy models will be able to join the beta program. However, recent reports suggest that internal test versions of One UI 8 have already been spotted on a few Galaxy devices. One UI 8 Beta is live now, which provides an early look of Samsung’s upcoming software upgrade. It brings several new features and improvements designed with users in mind. However, some most loved tools from the Good Lock are currently missing in this beta version, which may disappoint longtime users.

Good Lock is a collection of apps and plugins that gives Galaxy users the power to personalize their phone’s interface and system functions. Some Good Lock apps even let Galaxy users enable experimental features that are normally restricted by the Android system, which provide more control and customization than usual.

Not every Good Lock plugin is broken on the One UI 8 Beta, but some users might be disappointed to find their favorite tools not working. At least four plugins are currently not supported on devices running One UI 8. These include QuickStar, NavStar, MultiStar, and NotiStar.

If you’re using Good Lock on the One UI 8 Beta, you might run into several issues with some of its modules. Given below there is a list of what’s not working properly:

LockStar – Lock screen customization features may not work as expected.
Home Up – Some home screen layout and tweak options are facing issues.
NavStar – Customizing the navigation bar isn’t fully functional.
QuickStar – Users faced issues in the Quick settings panel..
NotiStar – Notification panel customisation isn’t working correctly.
MultiStar – Issues in Multi-window and multitasking functions.
ClockFace – Custom lock screen clock designs are not displaying properly.
Edge Lighting Plus – Some features are incompatible with the core Edge Lighting system.

You don’t need to be surprised that some Good Lock plugins don’t work properly in the One UI Beta. Samsung often disables certain features in beta builds to prevent bugs, and that’s exactly what has happened with the One UI 8 Beta update.

Since the operating system is still in development, some apps may crash or not work properly. As Samsung continues to refine One UI 8 during beta testing, updates to Good Lock will gradually be rolled out to match the changes in Android 16.
