Galaxy S22 series getting March 2025 security update in the US

Last week, Samsung’s March 2025 security update rolled out to the Galaxy S21 series, while the Galaxy S25 series got the update this week. Now, the tech giant is rolling out the latest software for the 2022 smartphone series, the S22, available in the US region.
Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices have started receiving the March 2025 security update in the US and it is now live for the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, US Cellular, Dish Wireless, and MetroPCS) variants.
In particular, the update for each of the three phones is identified by the S901USQS8EYC1, S906USQS8EYC1, and S908USQS8EYC1 build numbers, respectively. Concurrently, the update reportedly doesn’t bring any new features or modifications; instead, it importantly brings a whole bunch of fixes for all the security issues that have been fixed in the last version to enhance the overall security and core performance of the device.
Along with some fixes, the update also adds stability and reliability to the overall system behavior and introduces a number of performance optimizations that ultimately result in a smoother and better user experience.
So, the Galaxy S22 series owners can now download and install the new update on their devices when released. The update will also be rolled out for the US unlocked models in the coming days.
